The Incubator is crafted with 8 Holystone and an ambrosia torch as shown above. It is used for hatching Moa eggs.

Ambrosium Torches are used as fuel for Incubators. Moa eggs require 6 torches to hatch, which takes just over 5 minutes. The fire icon generated by the fuel stays nearly fully for most of the time and then quickly drops, so it is not a good indicator of how much fuel is left. Only one egg can be placed in the Incubator at one time. A Moa will spawn directly on top of the incubator when its egg is hatched, even if there is a block there. It will need to be fed to be tamed. Baby Black Moas require 8 petals to grow, and baby Blue Moas require 4 petals to grow. Oddly, if a Moa (and presumably any other mob) is standing on the incubator, you cannot open it. " " "
